Thanksgiving Break

Since Thanksgiving was pretty early this year (the 22nd) we had plenty of time to get Christmas set up before December started. This year I got a fun little tree for the kids to decorate and have in their room. They loved having the lights as a night light and also hanging all of their school ornaments on it.
We now have outlets right by us that opened! I am so excited and love having them so close! The day after Thanksgiving while I was shopping with my sisters, James took the kids up there to have a look around. They had this huge Christmas tree set up right in the middle of the outlets.
 Cheese!

We also decided to make home made donuts one night. The kids got to cut out their shape with the cookie cutter of their choice. We had airplanes, flowers, Christmas trees, stars, and a snowman!
We had so many extra, a few neighbors got some too. We love to make and share treats!
I got a great deal on a Christmas tree at Tai Pan on Black Friday. Our old tree was 10 years old and not pre-lit which drove James crazy every year. This came together in about 5 minutes, much better! Maybe next year I will get some new ornaments for my tree. I'm a little bored of these. I think I have said that for the last 4-5 years but always forget or don't want to spend the money when it comes down to it. The great thing about these ornaments is that kids can't break them! Maybe I will wait a couple more years until Hudson won't want to smash them everywhere.

Family Pictures 2012

I am surprised we got any good pictures out of these because we had such terrible weather conditions. I knew that it was supposed to be windy, and the photographer (Brenda Durrant) told me I could reschedule, but I just wanted to get them done! It was worse than I expected and we had 40mph winds whipping through where we were and it was cold! My kids were not happy!! Claire and Hudson's pictures tell you how most of us felt! COOOLLLDDD!

This one of Claire made it all worth it! So cute and Claire is hard to get a good genuine smile out of.

My favorite thing about these is Preston and his no socks. So Preston.

Love all of these of my boys. They really are best friends. I don't know what they would do without each other!

October stuff

We got the awesome opportunity to go down on the field for the BYU vs Utah State game. So fun and such a cool experience to see if from that view.

Watching conference together, the boys got creative on how to all lay down. I loved it!
These ladies I worked with in the Relief Society presidency when I was pregnant with Preston. I arranged a dinner to catch up and reminisce about old times. I love each of these ladies so much and it was so fun to get together!
We had so much fun for family night making homemade caramel apples. We gave them away to neighbors from the "family night phantom" and the boys loved ringing the doorbell and running away leaving treats behind.

 The finished product!
My mom bought James a pasta maker for his birthday and he was wanting to use it.
The boys wanted to help and get their hands dirty.

 Homemade whole wheat fettuccine noodles.

I found these fun BYU hats at Swiss Days. James took the boys to a few football games. They still love the cougar tails and refreshments more than the game, but still fun anyway!
Lance loves Hudson and wants to hold him any chance he can get. Oldest grandchild and youngest grandchild.
We came up to go to bed and found Preston asleep on the floor in the hallway between his room and the bathroom. Not sure what the story was with that? We laughed pretty hard though!
Little coonskin hat-he looks like he belongs in Russia with their hats! haha
Carter had his VIP day at school where he made a poster about himself and then got to tell his class about it.
This is Preston in the trailer that James pushed him in for 17 miles for one of his training runs. Preston was definitely ready to get out once it was over, but I think he loved having the time by himself with James.
Preston's class at his Halloween party. I love kindergarteners. So adorable!
