May photos

James did the St. George half ironman at the beginning of May. It was a tough race for him and he said it was just as hard or harder for him than the full. Sometimes on race day things just don't go your way. He was just glad to finish.
Preston gave me my Mother's day card early and I was lauging so hard at the pictures he drew for me at the bottom. He described it as a green puppy with a french mustache holding a boulder. Totally relevant to Mother's day apparently.
House showings. Ugh. This photo was taken when we were waiting for someone to walk through our house. We ended up having almost 30 showings before we sold the house. Keeping your house perfect with 4 kids is so exhausting! I thought this photo of the two of them was so cute though.
 Cute Hudson
Mothers day this year was awesome. James made homemade belgian waffles with pearl sugar inside of them. DIVINE!! I have the best husband on the planet who spoils me rotten and the cutest kids. They all gave me cute cards and letters and were so sweet all day.

This was Claire the last night she was a two year old.
Presents all ready to open. I love girly wrapping paper!!
On her birthday, she wanted her m&ms she had gotten the day before for breakfast. When it's your birthday, anything goes. Being 3 is awesome!!
Claire loves Hello Kitty so we had to get her a Hello Kitty cake. I almost forgot to get a picture before it was all eaten! We had a little get together with the cousins at McDonalds. She loved it and had a great day!
Preston my little puzzle boy. We decided to do a puzzle together one day to spend some quality time together. I'm pretty sure we didn't finish it, but it was fun to just have the one on one time until he got bored.
Claire got this kitty for her birthday and has slept with it every night since. It makes purring noises and we always know if she is still awake when we hear the kitty purring. She loves cats!!
Hudson has gotten to the fun stage in church where we pretty much walk the halls because he is everywhere and really loud if he has to sit still.
At the end of the year kindergarten has all sorts of fun days that they do. This day was cowboy day and Preston had a little star badge that said Sheriff Presty. Love him!
James took the kids to a BYU event while I was at my new sister in law's bridal shower. Claire was in heaven getting to meet Cosmo the cougar.
My nephew Austin was in a championship game up at Alta so the family went up to watch. They lost, but played a great game. We love lacrosse!
This was Preston's final game with his team the yellow firedragons. His coaches were Andy Weeks and James Fountaine. Fun season and he improved a lot as the year went on .
Coach Andy was so nice and bought all of the boys these awesome trophies. It is his prized possession and he loves having it displayed in is room.
James got an ice cream maker for his birthday this year and we have been having fun trying all sorts of flavors. My favorite so far is mint chocolate chip. So yummy!!
Claire got her first haircut! It was long overdue and was starting to get really uneven and straggly looking at the ends. She has beautiful hair and loved going to this place Cookie Cutters. She got to sit in a cool pink car!
Preston also got his hair cut there and was thrilled with his airplane.
The final look. Such a cute girl!
Here is Carter with his cut. Doesn't he look so old?!
We did anything we could to get the house looking great for people to buy. One Saturday we stained the deck. It actually didn't take too long just a couple of trips to home depot to buy stain since I dropped half of it in the lawn when I tipped the can over on accident. Oops.
 The finished product.
 Pumpkin ice cream
 Delicious!
James took the kids on a run with him while they rode their bikes. So much fun!
James turned 32 this year and I had to do the ironman theme of course. He loved it!
 Best.Picture.Ever.
The yearly dance festival. Carter's grade danced to Dynamite. He is the one in the blue shirt in the last row with the orange writing on it.
Preston's grade did Splish Splash. He is the little cutie wearing the goggles. It was freezing outside  that day and rained for part of the performance. You never know what weather you will get in May.
 Kindergarten graduation
Preston is right in the middle. They said some really cute poems and sang some songs.
 With his class
His teacher Miss Johnson was fantastic. She was great with Preston and he loved her and learned alot this year.
We are trying to teach Carter some cooking skills so this is him learning how to make waffles by himself. He did great. He is so much like James and loves to experiment with food and will eat anything. He is our little foodie.
The finished product of his waffle making experience. Not too bad!
This was in Preston's pile of papers that he got with his end of the year folder. I got such a kick out of it.

House for Sale

At the beginning of May we put the house up for sale. The market had been really slow for a long time, but it seemed to do a fast turn around in March/April. Our friends that had the same layout as us, sold in ONE day! We had been wanting a change for awhile and knew it was time. We have been in this area for 11 years. It was time to move on. Let the craziness begin...

The rest of April photos

For my Mom's birthday we went out to lunch at Chic-fil-a with my cousins Shannon and Sarah and their kids. We facetimed my mom while we were there. We sure miss her!
I was glued to the craziness that happened at the Boston Marathon. I could not keep my eyes off the tv until they were caught!
Carter has become a big helper with Hudson and will feed him his bottle if I am in a hurry.
Hudson has discovered how much he loves the stairs and you can't keep him off of them. He doesn't know how to go down so it was always a little scary. He only fell down once and was fine, thank goodness!
James went on a work trip to Kansas for three days and we all missed him terribly! We don't function very well without daddy around. This was Claire's hug when she saw him. So precious.
James finally got a new tri suit and Preston is modeling what it looks like for me.
This was the last wear for these jammies. I love them and had them in two different sizes! Had to take a picture of my cowboy during his last rodeo. Still makes me giggle every time I see them! haha

Crazy summer

Wow, it's been over five months since I wrote on the blog! Time flies when you are selling your house, being primary president, packing, moving, unpacking, enjoying a little bit of summer, registering the kids in a new school, picking floor plans/cabinets/floors/trim/exterior for your new house to build, and trying to keep up on your daily cleaning and other regular schedule stuff. I'm exhausted!! I feel like we are finally getting into a new groove so I may be back soon to blog about all of the fun changes we have been up to in these past five months!
