November 2013

Cornbellys has a pumpkin smash after Halloween is over and they let you take whatever pumpkins you can find around the area and smash them. You can even bring your own from home. I took Carter and Preston with me and we got out a little aggression!

I caught this little stinker eating nutella straight out of the jar.
But he was pretty happy with himself!
Claire is the biggest fan of selfies I know! She loves a good photo of us together.
Preston for his birthday received birthday cards from all of the members of his class. It was pretty hysterical reading all of the cards from the girls. Half of them said I like you, etc. But this one was awesome with the picture of him putting his arm around her. First grade people!
For his birthday he got to go to the BYU basketball game with Ryan and Carter.
Cougar tails are the bomb! I also love that he wanted to wear his birthday crown for the whole day. He must be a birthday diva just like his mama! haha
A picture of my cute seven year old the morning of his actual birthday. Love my Prestopea.

He got this awesome lego set that Carter "helped" him put together (or put it together all by himself while Preston watched) but that is what big brothers are for right?!
We took him out to the Provo beach resort to play arcade games,  go in the fun play area, and get fun prizes with your tickets. We also went to Malawi's pizza next door to celebrate.
After we got home we all were pretty tired but couldn't forget the cake! I can't believe this kid is 7! He has brought so much joy and happiness to our family. He is such an easy kid.
He couldn't be happier! He has two green dinosaurs his favorite color (one from Aunt Mellie on the right and one he won from the arcade games on the left). Happy birthday Preston!!
This boy enjoys his spaghetti. He is such a good eater and will eat almost anything I put in front of him.
 My cute girl!

One night Hudson was having a rough night and woke up at 4 am and wouldn't go back to sleep. None of my kids slept well when we lived in the townhome. I think it was how close we were to the train, it was SOOO loud!! Anyway, I brought him into bed with me and he fell asleep right away. I just had to capture his cuteness and express my gratitude for my darling baby. I am so grateful to be his mom.
He loves his sister Minnie mouse chair. He wants to sit in it whenever possible.
Preston's turn to go to a BYU football game. His game was freezing!! He had full snow gear on!

Enjoying the food just like his older brother did!
We finally got most of the windows and our front door. They also poured our porch and driveway. After this not alot happened for weeks and weeks!! It was so frustrating. Glad it's over now!
 Bathtime!!
Rubbing my feet! I loved it!
Little cuties hanging out in the foyer at church.

I got to help out in Preston's class for Thanksgiving feast. Kids are so funny! I had like 5 stories to tell James that were hilarious when I got home.
Took the older 3 to get ice cream one night at Thanksgiving point. I love this of the three of them.
Before Thanksgiving, we called up my grandpa Stephenson and took him out to lunch. He is such a great person and I'm so lucky to still have him in my life. He's 87 and still super healthy and one of the smartest people I know, if not the smartest!
We changed tradition this year and just had Thanksgiving with my immediate family. It was so awesome! We had actual plates and plenty of leftovers. We were in charge of the turkey and made some yummy lemon crunch pies too.

Thanksgiving always makes everyone super sleepy.
James included. He woke up at 4 am to go workout and also cooked all morning. He was wiped out! This was at about 7:30 pm.
Things got kicked off for Christmas traditions when Buddy the elf came back to hang out with our family. He also brought advent calendars which my kids also love.
Happy kiddos to see their favorite elf! Let the Christmas fun begin!!

October 2013

The Little Mermaid came out on Blu ray this day and went right out to buy it of course! It's my all time favorite disney movie. Claire became obsessed with it too and also loved it when I recited all the lines to the movie. She would get mad when I didn't do it! Pretty funny!
James was trying to recreate the movie the Hangover with Hudson. I guess the baby in it looks like this. I haven't ever seen it. Pretty cute kid either way.
Another shout out to my awesome husband who promised my kids cinnamon rolls for conference morning, but got called in for work and had to be at the conference center at 8 am. He woke up extra early to have them ready to cook and for us to enjoy them. He is so thoughtful like this all the time. How did I get so lucky?!
We had a family dinner that night and Aunt Cathy was loving on Hudson.
The boys had crazy hair day at school and we finally got with the program and were prepared this year with colored hair spray before the day! Orange and green of course with black spots. The boys thought it was the coolest thing ever!
 Foundation floor poured

October also brings the fun fall stuff! We went to Cornbellys a couple of times and it was super close to our townhome which was convenient! Hudson picked out his own little pumpkin to bring home!

I love my family! This picture makes me laugh! We have so much fun together!
I was being cheap this year and decided to not get the boys school pictures. I kindof regret it now. How cute do they look? I'm also sad they don't have their class pictures. Lesson learned!
I just adore this picture of Preston. He is so cute and has the biggest smile!
The boys got these fun clay things from their kids meals and were loving to create fun robots out of clay.

One day I was just having so much fun spending time with Hudson chasing, hugging, giving kisses, reading, etc. I love these precious moments with my kids. They don't happen all the time, but I love when they do.

Another Saturday, another BYU game. Love going to get good food and spending time with James.
Sometimes we have to get creative to keep Hudson from screaming in church. Taking pictures of himself is his favorite thing!

At costco they had these sleeping bags with pillow sets that we got for all the kids. Claire was thrilled with her hello kitty one!
We also made a fun Halloween gingerbread monster house. So much fun! We each got to decorate our own. We figured living in this tiny little townhome with no friends, we needed to up our game with having fun things for the kids to do.

Me and Carter had pretty awesome monster houses!

Claire loved hers too. Hudson was happy to just eat frosting and candy.

My kids all have the funkiest toes. They get them from James. Hudson's poor little second toe just doesn't have a place with the others.

Claire picked out her own outfit this day. Can you tell? haha
It was time for James to get some new glasses. I told him I wanted him to get the more thick black ones. Aren't they cute on him?
 Framing starts...

Claire chillin in the doctors office. She wanted me to take her picture.
 Walls started going up.
 Back of the house

Having a picnic with daddy for dinner

 Another fun day visiting cornbellys
 The Cinderella carriage-fall style!

They had tons of fun dress ups for girls and boys to use. Carter loved this costume!

 Roof trusses getting put on.

James got to meet some of the BYU basketball players and the Coach Dave Rose.
James went to Dad's and Doughnuts with Preston for school. I think Preston even got to eat his Dad's doughnut too. :)

Halloween time! We had two costumes for Preston this year because we got a cheap one and one given to us so Preston wore both on different nights for different activities. We went to the Lehi Legacy center Halloween party (one of our favorite October traditions) and he was a ninja.

 Cinderella, Pirate, and Ninja
and of course Chewbacca!! Favorite costume ever!!

Front of the house getting framed!

Somebody was super happy with her flower face paint!

 Carter's lacrosse game. Go Lehi!
 House almost framed
Boys got to go to Cornbellys for a late night at the corn maze with their dad.
Carter had to make a "pumpkinography". His was a black angry bird that had a crush on a girl in his class. He had to read the birds journal entries to the class.

James and I went running together. I love getting to work out with him, it doesn't happen very often!
Check out our awesoem pumpkins! Preston's was a puppy, James made an ironman pumpkin, Claire had Ariel, and Carter did Wreck it Ralph.

Having pumpkin stencils always helps things. Carter tried to cut his own this ear and it got a little sketchy for a minute. You can still tell it's Wreck it Ralph though right?
Carter marching in the school Halloween parade
Preston changed costumes to be a Lego for school. He was the hit of the parade. Everyone loved his costume and was making comments about it. Thanks to my friend Melissa for the free costume. It was awesome!
I helped in Preston's class and we made fun frankenstein faces.
Ready to go trick or treating!
Since my mom usually does soup for us at her house and she wasn't here this year we made our own. Butternut squash soup with yummy bread is the best! Happy Halloween!
