November stuff

When you go a couple of months without blogging, I am just going to combine a whole month of stuff together. Thank goodness for camera phones that can capture all of the stuff I am doing most of the time!
I had a really fun girls night with dinner at Brio and going to see Pitch Perfect at the movies. SO fun! I love these girls! L to R Chantille, Afton, Jennica, and Jill
Stephanie, me, Annette
Our last bonfire of the summer/fall, Claire was half naked of course!
Carter lost both of his front teeth and then after this picture, he lost another top tooth! Pretty soon he wont have any teeth to chew with!
Preston's 6th birthday was great! We let him decide if he wanted a friend party or the money for the party used towards gifts. He decided on gifts and got the wii game skylanders giants. He is obsessed!
On his birthday so excited to go to school and celebrate with his friends!

He even got two goldfish from my parents that he named Big Lobster and Little Orange. Big Lobster died after about 3 days and Little Orange held strong for about 10 days. He was super sad when they both died. We have since learned that just a bowl like that usually can't sustain a goldfish. It needs a filter. Good to know.

Preston, just being Preston! He fit in this little hotdog suit 5 years ago. Amazing how much they grow.
Preston's Class had a Thanksgiving feast and dressed up like the pilgrims. So adorable! I love getting to help in his classroom. Just getting to know all of the other kids and hear their conversations with each other is priceless. I have to say, Preston is the kid in the class that everyone loves. I am not surprised, he is so much fun!
Carters class had a "Pow wow" and made macaroni necklaces, feather hats, and played some fun Thanksgiving games. James went in to help with that one because Carter said he wanted Daddy, not Mommy, to be there. James was good to go, and said it was a lot of fun to help.
More snuggling from Claire and Hudson. This time in her crib.
We were asked to bring one of the turkeys this year to Thanksgiving. James made a garlic and herb butter and rubbed it underneath the skin and kept basting the turkey with it. It was so yummy!
The best Thanksgiving surprise was my Aunt Elaine came up to me holding this gloworm. I left it at her house when I was 5 or 6 and she has had it ever since! She must have been cleaning out stuff in storage and came across it. I am so happy she found it and gave it back to me! So funny and so fun for me to have. I totally remember playing with it as a kid so it was fun to have it again.

Hudson 3-5 months

My mom and Aunt Elaine holding Hudson and Lia at Kiersten's wedding shower. Lia is 10 days older than Hudson but lots tinier!
How hilarious is this hat? James did a side by side of him with John Candy in Uncle Buck! haha
Yep, he's definitely an English. Huge noggin!
Can't get enough of those dimples!
Hudson's favorite place is on his changing table. He can be crying and you lay him on it and he is laughing and smiling away.
He loves to stick out his tongue!
This is one of the few times he has sat in his bumbo. He hates it! He would buck himself backwards and lay his neck and head on the back of it. He was not a fan! So sad, because my other kids loved it!
He is the biggest puker alive but is so happy all the time! He also never slept. He is finally sleeping through the night for the most part, but it seemed like it took forever to get there! He did not do babywise that is for sure.

He loves to be naked and get his diapre changed. I love his belly! Chunky boy!
 Little dino

The pictures below just all capture his little personality with his facial expressions. He loves to coo and make noise. He is so dang cute, I can't take it!

Once again his shirt is drenched with slobber or spit up, take your pick! Always happy, and love his double chin and cheeks. I am kissing them most of the time he is awake.

Claire wanted to take a nap with Hudson in his bed. He loves his sister!
We had dinner over at our house one Sunday and invited my Grandpa Stephenson over. He wanted to hold Hudson so I had to get a photo of the two of them together. My Grandpa is 85 and one of my heroes. I am so glad all of my children have been able to meet him.
We just love our baby Hudson. He is such an angel! He is so good natured and easy going. The perfect end to our family. He is also our smiliest kid we have ever had and if you lock eyes with him, he will smile immediately at you no matter what! I love it. I get stopped all the time telling me how cute he is. His dimple melts my heart and I love his cute cheeks. He also has started rolling over both ways so I can't leave him on a couch or bed anymore. He loves to flap his arms when he gets excited and has the cutest little giggle when he gets tickled or I play peek-a-boo with him. He will be crawling soon, I can feel it. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. I just got out his 6-9 month clothes and it makes me sad. I love having a baby and want to keep him little forever!!

Halloween 2012

We had so much fun this Halloween! Carter was Darth Vader, Preston was the pig from Angry Birds, Claire was a BYU cheerleader, and Hudson was a hotdog with James as the hotdog vendor. Since the hotdog and vendor was a repeat from when Preston was a baby, James wanted to raise the bar and decided to cook hotdogs for trick or treaters as they came along. It was a hit, and we cooked and gave away 80 hotdogs in an hour!! People were bummed when we ran out because word traveled fast through the neighborhood.
Hudson just hung out with James while I took the other 3 around to the houses trick or treating. The weather was perfect and warm so we were able to stay out longer. Claire didn't even need a jacket! It was awesome.

Happy Halloween!!

Adventures with Claire

Here is a photo dump of all things Claire. She is at such a cute age! She is a little sassy, a little sweet, really funny, a little naughty, and lots of fun. This is her having fun in the flour while I was doing dishes around the corner. I just love all of the facial expressions, I couldn't decide which picture was best!

We love to have smoothies for breakfast in the morning. I  love her mustache!
 Ready for church
This shirt could not be more true!
She loves her brothers and wants to be in the mix with them all the time. It's the cutest thing ever.
Potty training! This was day one. It has been a rollercoaster ever since. She is VERY stubborn and wants to do things how she wants to do them. She does okay, but she is just having wet accidents still. I can handle that I guess. When she needs some alone time to do her business, she likes to watch Timmy Time or another show on netflix on James' tablet. She loves the lights off and lets us know when she is done. Too funny.
This picture makes me laugh! Preston is there for moral support.
Claire is obsessed with dogs. At my cousin Kiersten's wedding, the reception was at a huge outdoor ranch. They brought their dog Rusty and let him just roam around. Claire followed him the entire night and was giggling with glee. We couldn't keep her still long enough to get a clear picture. It was adorable.
We had a girls night with all of the neices and aunts and Grammy. We went to Chic-fil-a for dinner and the dollar store afterwards. Claire chose a little stuffed puppy that she named Snowball, and also picked 2 stuffed dinosaurs for her brothers. It was a fun night!
One of her favorite things to do is get her old headbands from when she was a baby and put as many as she can on her head. Then when I get a picture she always closes her eyes to say cheese.
Look at how long those pig tails are! I call her my human chia pet. Her hair grows so fast!

She loves to help me with giving Hudson a bath. Although to her he is not Hudson, he's "Hudsonboy" (all one word).  It is so fun to see her want to be right in there with me and to hear her talk to him like she is a little mommy. She loves to get his head wet and use the washcloth. Such a great big sister.
He loves her so much!

We had a ward Fall Festival this weekend. They had a photo booth there that had fun masks you could take your pictures with. They also had a fishing pond, pumpkin bowling, crafts, cupcake walk, and a chili cook off. What a fun night! I love fall time!
Tonight we did our annual carving pumpkins for family night. We didn't have time to carve Claire's, but she loved helping to light them up. She is growing up and getting such a fun personality and says new phrases almost every day. My latest favorite is when she told James to "get outta here!" We both just cracked up. She makes life so much fun.
